Let's start with something simple.

Masks.

Everyone puts on masks. Whether they know it or not, they do in some aspects of their lives or their entire life. Hiding the pain, the shame, their true self. I ain't just saying, heck, I do it and have done at some times of my life. It's as if it's a defense or a reflex to keep walls around the heart. Not wanting to be hurt, to be rejected, to be feared, to be hated, to be used .etc

In short, fear is the motivation behind putting up the mask.

But masks can only go so far before a break-down comes.

And that's reality. So here acceptance and choosing to just be yourself comes in.

Yes, it's a freaking scary thought. But it must be done unless you want to live a lie for the rest of your life. Trust me, I did it before. One time I hated being myself but at a point I realized I should just be myself before I ended destroying myself and my identity and don't know who I am.

I've never regretted it since then.

Sure, pain and obstacles came my way. But they're just part of life.

Just accept life for what it is. It's unpredictable, wild, a roller-coaster, a box of chocolates, whatever you describe it.

When life give you lemons, make lemonade -

When obstacles and pain are thrown at you, just accept it, be strong and go on.

So live your life. Be happy. Live it to the fullest. With friends, family, God, cell group...
